The truth is, it was about Trump. Note: Spanberger is the new VA Governor. Virginia is a purple state with tens of thousands of federal workers. Obviously, these voters are not blaming Dems for the Shutdown. Responsibility falls in the lap of Trump and the GOP House and Senate.

Isn’t this a message to the GOP from Trump? He’s saying if I had been on the ballot, Republicans would have won. To the GOP, a party of 1 is not a party. It is a cult w/ a charismatic leader. He will eventually be gone. DJT isn’t saying, “Let’s regroup.” No, he’s saying, “Not my fault.”
