Does anyone else get relentlessly hit with suggest posts on facebook that seem to be like PR attempts to make Elon look good? I just saw one that was literally like "Elon musk dances funnily at event China what a cute and crazy lil guy" as tho he's not one of the most powerful people on the planet

Love phonology and conlangs but at the end of the day I'm not at all linguist and frankly I simply cannot distinguish some vowels apart. When I hear audio of different vowels on the IPA chart my ears simply cannot hear the difference between some and I can only say I think i know how to produce them

I cleaned out all the impacted ear wax from my airpods and now music sounds new again.

We have so far not heard any clarity if VA disability benefits have been frozen. At first it seemed it wasn't, but it is among the agencies the OMB has targeted, so we're confused, no one seems to know for sure.

The American revolutionary war was one of the least bloody revolutions of its time and later in history. That with how long our democracy has lasted relatively uninterrupted, I legit think this has baked a kind of naiveté in the minds of Americans. We really have no clue.

So many people were warning for so long that corporate pandering tO LGBTQ people was completely performative and they were 100% right. Do we need rainbow capitalism? Most of the time, no, but it a scary sign indicating the mood of the country. How long will we be 'protected' minorities?

I don't how to react to Musk's little 'salute'. I don't buy that it was just like a random awkward gesture, he knows what he did. Was it planned or some kind of Freudian slip? Idk, but for sure I'm having a hard time seeing it as anything other than what it looked like.
