The most crucial intersection of my Irish and American identities is the utter rejection of the cancer that is monarchy. A societal disease that has no place in the world.
the hubris involved in this appointment from all parties is staggering, and ultimately a display of immense disrespect to the people of D4 who deserve actual representation and got this mess instead.
Beya Alcaraz, Lurie's D4 supervisor pick who resigned last night, was the least experienced S.F. supe appointee in 30 years, our analysis found.
Out of 16 board appointees in past three decades, Alcaraz was only one without politics or government chops.
