The Mighty Olafs Record Club returns this Thursday 4th December. Due to contractual battles at Radio O.L.A.F this could be... our last ever show so we want your favourite big tunes to play loud in a pub. Let's go out in style. Or possibly be back next month.

#NowPlaying Sandy Denny - The North Star Grassman And The Ravens (1971) Like rhe apothecary on the cover Denny the singer and writer mixes up a potent mix of folk with rock and blues elements. Her voice is so similar to Beth Orton's. I'm a latecomer to her work, but I'm enjoying the ride. #MusicSky

Make these 'men' famous. Richard Smith of the South Durham Hunt strikes the horse twice in 20 seconds. Whilst huntmaster Rob Wilkinson seems to be smiling in the background.

#NowPlaying I am so pleased to finally have this on vinyl. It really is a perfect album. I very nearly paid £100 for a 2021 RSD copy, so the news that it was getting another reissue was most welcome. It's a lovely pressing, too.

Still a few days to go. Minimal interest so far which means you'll almost certainly get any requests on the show and get your name read out in a strange public house. What greater incentive do you need?
