I've spent too much time today being reminded why I hate build scripts and package managers.

As a WordPress design and developer, I drool over some of these tools that Big Bit has built for media.press

- Separate tab for managing Metadata, Custom Fields, and on-page media.
- Better media crop and replace
- Save drafts without republishing
- Better revisions

Technology is a choice. So is how we talk about it. Let's choose language that describes AI as assistive technology we use (or don't use) to help us flourish.

Today is National Coming Out Day. A day meant to shine a light on the fact that bigotry and homophobia thrive in silence. It makes it all the more frustrating that it seems the Supreme Court is close to reinstating conversion therapy for LGBTQ+ kids.

The killing of Charlie Kirk is deplorable, as were his beliefs. He was an open racist and bigot who used his platform to dehumanize others. While he shouldn't have been killed for his views, I won't ignore that his beliefs empower violence against others.

I am excited for the Federal Bureau of Investigations to be given its new title: Whitehouse Police.

When a hosting company like SiteGround sends you a "Monthly security report" email, that is nothing but an Ad meant to upsell you on their expensive add-ons, it's safe to say they don't have your best interest in mind. They care more about selling you on services by exploiting fear and confusion.

So many wonderful years not having to think about Kim Davis. Now she's back in the news for all the same horrible reasons. It's taken 10 years for right-wing Christian hate groups to get to this moment. The first shot may stand no chance, but they will keep taking shots till they are successful.

Well, I think I've read enough bad news to screw over my mood for the day. So I guess it's time to check out.

If you needed to be reminded that this administration is bigoted and cowardly, here's your reminder. But betraying the country and the people who serve to protect it comes naturally to this administration.

I'm just bitching about PayPal today. Their user account feature is utterly broken, and having to coordinate to receive two-factor codes every time I log in to a client's account is a nightmare.

I would love to see WordPress bring the menu back out of the editor so website users can update and edit the menu independently of working in the full site editor. This would go some way to making sure that content can be edited separately from the site structure.

Why write 10 words when 13 will do? Why not add an extra qualifying statement, a third example to your list?

Please, podcasters, check your transcripts. I'm glad people are adding the 'but' a timestamp for every word is not a transcript.

Today is the 10th anniversary of Obergefell and the legalization of same-sex marriage. The threat to this right is more real than ever. But for this moment I want to sit in the knowledge that there are queer kids who have spent their entire life knowing only a future where they can get married.

This important whistleblower account (from the DOJ attorney fired for being honest in court) paints an absolutely damning portrait of an administration engaged in a conscious and calculated effort to defy federal court orders.

You don't need to use JS to make a masonry gallery layout. There really is no good reason. Now I'm dealing wit a Kadance gallery block that's broken in the editor becasue it's constancy recalculating image positions.

It would be nice to hope that the recent violence and killings were the peak, but it seems like its only the beginning. The president has wanted to to use violent force against protests since his first term, and now he has someone who will ok it. It seems like it's only a matter of time.
