I love hanging out with my boyfriend and dog (our daily walks are the best part of my day), spending time outside (including field work for my job!), playing board games, gardening, reading books, spending time with friends and family, and drinking good beer.

In 2021, after finishing my PhD I moved to Columbia, MO to work at the University of Missouri as a postdoctoral fellow studying rare stream fish thermal ecology and bluestripe darter ecology.

I have also stippled fish for friends that have a favorite non-game species that are hard or impossible to find illustrations of elsewhere. For me, this is a fun hobby and I will be continuing to add new species to my collection - fish and otherwise! Stay tuned for more in the future!

Since then, I have been creating new fish prints (and other fishy crafts) to donate to fundraising silent auctions at AFS meetings at the state (TX, MO), region (Southern Division and North Central Division) and international levels.

These meetings meant a lot to me as this is where I was able to share my research on fish and meet peers and professionals in my field. I also felt fortunate to have received a scholarship during my degree and wanted to be able to give back for students in the future.

I tried again with fish during my PhD in 2019 to make some prints that I could donate at the Texas Chapter American Fisheries Society (AFS) Annual Meeting to a silent auction that fundraises for student travel awards and scholarships.
