Jimmy Kempski deserves a Pulitzer for this - “St. Brown did the ‘Trump dance’ last Sunday against the Commanders. On Sunday night, the Eagles' secondary slapped a tariff on his ass, as he had just 2 catches on 12 targets.”

If, like me, you are confused by how so many people are so invested in the outcome of a football game - a sport that destroys bodies and brains - I would recommend @tmcallister.bsky.social’s “Bury Me In My Jersey: A Memoir of My Father, Football, and Philly.” It’s out of print but not hard to find.

Pitchers are throwing harder than ever. More of them are getting hurt, and the sport is less interesting for all that velocity. Something has to change.

Review | How to be a man? Josh Hawley has the (incoherent) answers.
In “Manhood,” the senator joins a long tradition of those who bemoan masculinity’s endangerment and offer advice for saving it.

Specifically it seems Patel’s shirts are made at the CODEVI “free trade zone” on the DR/Haiti border at Ouaniminthe, in a factory that steals and pollutes farmland and keeps firing its exploited workers when they try to unionize.
Kash Patel apparently runs a "America First" clothing line.

"Tired of seeing your money go overseas?" reads a product page. "Support your fellow Americans by purchasing a Protect Our People t-shirt."

Shirt appears to be made on Next Level blanks ... which are made in Central America and Haiti.

Love this: “Slone, Denning, Dixon, and other boxers…would go running at 5 a.m. North Philadelphia was not the safest place for a group of teenagers to be at that hour, so Frazier would drive behind them in his white Cadillac, with his windows rolled down, as he played Bobby Womack on the stereo.”
Joe Frazier's gym was once a sanctuary. Now, it's in danger of demolition.

Since 2022, it's sat vacant. It's failed multiple city inspections and was recently deemed "unsafe."

If it becomes "imminently dangerous," the city can tear it down — despite landmark status

Wasn’t this a Ken Loach movie a few years ago?
American brands routinely use staffing agencies to find workers for warehouses and factories. Some of those agencies exploit undocumented migrants, sometimes with impunity, to fuel America’s on-demand economy, a New York Times investigation found.

The incoming Trump administration promises an immigration crackdown. But for years, the on-demand economy has been fueled by unscrupulous staffing agencies exploiting migrant workers.
