My office is here to support you. A gentle reminder to anyone who receives SNAP: please continue to follow the requirements for reporting even during the shutdown. This is to ensure your benefits resume once the impasse is over.

We get through this together.

As your senator, I remain focused on meeting the needs of Pennsylvanians with a budget that invests in all of us. We deserve a city where we can move freely through our neighborhoods and arrive home safely at the end of the day. Where we leave no one behind.

Diwali offers all of us occasion to reflect on the struggles of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and hope over despair. Grateful to Senator Greg Rothman for collaborating on this legislation, and to @governor.pa.gov for signing it into law.

Pennsylvania was the first state in the country to do so—but not the last! This year, it’s a joy to see other states officially recognize Diwali as part of their acknowledgments of the heritage and contributions of our diverse Asian American communities.
