It was great to also see the projects by the local community, in particular the V&A East Youth Collective who have reinterpreted the London Underground’s tube map with places familiar to themselves. What an amazing resource for East London and the wider community!

There are highlights that you come across like the Kaufmann Office designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, the 15th-century Spanish ceiling from the now gone Torrijos Palace, the interior from the Robin Hood Estate, and the giant stage backdrop copy of a Picasso created for the musical comedy Le Train Bleu.

I had an amazing visit to the V&A East Storehouse today - so much to see as you navigate the three floors of the building. The transparency is carried out throughout the building with open display of the objects and showcases explaining things like interpretation and how numbers are given to objects

Yesterday I was excited to visit
@paraheritage.bsky.social and talk to some of their trainees and work experience students as part of my evaluation work. The highlights for me of the objects on display were work placement student Electra’s Paralympic Mascot’s display and the 2012 Paralympic torch!

Thank you @foundlingmuseum.bsky.social for inviting me to His Majesty’s garden party for those working in education & skills at Buckingham Palace today. The weather was beautiful and the cake was delicious. We got very close to King Charles and he even shook my friend’s hand! 😮

Loved the exhibition ‘Lives Less Ordinary: Working-Class Britain Re-seen’ in the beautiful #TwoTemplePlace Artist Kelly O’Brien’s ‘Cleaner No.1’ & ‘Three Generations of Work CV’ resonated with the conversations I’ve had with underrepresented young people recently about their CVs

Finally got to visit @brunelmuseum.bsky.social We particularly enjoyed going down into the shaft. Loved that Marc Isambard Brunel’s daughter Sophia was interested in engineering - ‘Brunel in petticoats’ - although sadly she was born in Victorian times so no further education as a woman.
