I had to break a neurodiverse person's heart in my therapy group tonight by telling them that people who try to get you to open up are often really prompting you to display social competence (laugh about past mistakes, be slightly specific but mostly vague, etc) rather than... you know, open up 😔

I cannot stop starting sentences with “I” or “Me when” or w/e. Which isn’t even cute like the ellipses thing; it’s just annoyingly repetitive. But if I don’t do it, how will people know that what I’m speaking of is only true to my specific context 😔
