The Republican bill that passed the House would make deep cuts in the Inflation Reduction Act — including what remains of $500 million to the NPS to recruit and hire park rangers across the country (only a fraction of which has already been spent). From Heather Richards @eenews.bsky.social
‘Ill-timed blow’: Advocates decry funding cuts for park rangers
The National Park Service has spent a fraction of $500 million allocated to hire more park rangers.

Psst…those 1950s manufacturing jobs Trump loves so much?

They were good jobs because they were UNION jobs.

Oh...and taxes on corporations and the rich were much higher.

Trump’s agenda won’t bring back the “Golden Age.”

It’ll make the rich richer at everyone else's expense.

The hits keep coming, y’all. In a new move in their continued dismantling of the National Park Service, the Trump administration, hundreds of employees were removed from their position as rangers. Employees were told Friday afternoon they were being “consolidated” to the Department of the Interior.

A lesson none of these people will learn: everyone's "waste" is someone else's "critical service." You don't care when this or that program you don't directly rely on gets cut; don't be surprised when someone who doesn't directly rely on your program doesn't care when it gets cut.

Hey Doug I thought you were all about “unleashing American energy dominance” or whatever it is????
Just two weeks into starting the construction #offshorewind turbines near NYC — a project 8 years in the making — the Trump Administration stops all work on the permitted project.

The Interior Secretary posted on the other site about it today.

That’s because they've now made $176,100, and hit the contributions cap.

Billionaires made that much about an hour into the year.

Elon Musk did in just 15 minutes.

Tax the rich. Scrap the cap.

Most of those temperatures are from weather stations NOAA/NWS helps maintain…or they are a model interpolation from a model NOAA/NWS helped develop.
