You aren't understanding. Trump was not going to let them do anything, and he wasn't going to sign anything that funded the ACA subsidies. Literally nothing was going to work.

They were never going to cave on the ACA. MAGA is applauding them. They wanted the government shut down. It wasn't hurting them at all.

Seriously. How do those people who have no power keep screwing America? It's not like there's another party in power who are actually doing the things everyone is blaming the Dems for.

ACA subsidies end in Dec. Do we really think the Republicans were going to come to the table before then? They HATE the government and WANT it shut down, so I don't see how anything the Dems did mattered. There was no win here, other than Nov 4. And now we wait a year for another election.

Warnock would be amazing, but I don't count on his reelection. Duckworth is a badass. Whitehouse i like, but he gets a bit smarmy, which is great on a committee, but I don't know if it would work as leader.

Everyone knows the GOP are narcissistic toddlers, so they don't hold them accountable for anything. The Dems are the adults in the room, so everyone just assumes they'll take care of it. When they can't, for whatever reason, they get the blame. It's complete bs.

This is the important point. There is no one else. When he's gone, however that happens, the entire cult/movement falls apart. And yes, even though these 8 Dems are screwing us, there are plenty who are not, and they are trying to distance them from Party as a whole. Let's see if it works.

There was a report about after authoritarian rule, when governments shed their dictator, they are stronger and have more and better social programs. This is a perfect example of how and why this happens.
