Of all of the media that I consume, the reason that I like manga so much is because it remains as the only thing I don't binge. Sometimes I do, but the week to week grind is what makes the experience special.

But as I have learnt this year, it leaves an emptiness that I forgotten to expect. 2/?

I'll finish the book and feel any which way that I feel but man is it hard not to feel that this is modern epic fantasy at its best.

It's a lot like Vinland Saga. War can be explained and even justified if you try to understand. And it doesn't come off as something you need to forgive to empathize with. The story builds to a single point. A single oath.
