Matthew GERTZ has a good thread reminding us that Pirro is actually a bigoted nightmare so it’s actually not as funny as you might think that she’ll be the U.S. Attorney
Pirro is the 23rd former Fox employee Trump has named to his administration.

She's wildly unqualified to be DC's top prosecutor and was been described by her former executive producer as a "reckless lunatic."

Gonna thread some of her lowlights.
Trump just appointed Fox host Jeanine Pirro as interim U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia. Yes, Jeanine Pirro.

The Public Broadcasting Act of 1967 created the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. I reread it today; nothing in the law allows a president to defund PBS and NPR. In fact, Congress specifically sought to insulate public media from political pressure.

1/ Trump’s executive order banning trans people from serving in the military isn’t about “readiness” or “lethality.” It’s about cruelty. And right-wing media wasted no time celebrating the ban with some of the most vile rhetoric imaginable. 🧵

This drug is the 'breakthrough of the year' -- and it could mean the end of the HIV epidemic
That's the title that Science magazine is bestowing upon the medication called lenacapavir — a twice yearly injectable that prevents infection by the HIV virus.
