This. Sarah Kendzior is a public figure. Banning journalists from your platform without explanation or transparency is quite frankly, bullshit.
Have to say banning someone like Sarah is already political, and it undermines trust in your moderation when you don’t provide an explanation.

Absolutely. Suspending the account of a reputable and world-renowned scholar on authoritarianism and journalist is a dangerous precedent that renders this Bluesky no better than Twitter or Meta.
It seems the calculation is that after a couple days we'll shut up about Sarah Kendzior and move on. We can't prove them right, in fact we need to get louder.
