I wish I could be more of a Flyers skeeter and less of a politics skeeter but it feels like the political posts are just more pertinent these days.

I'm always embarrassed by how much I liked the Doors in high school, but my love for Zep has withstood the test of time.

At the same time, much of the media, the fourth estate, the people whose role in democracy is holding power accountable by informing the public, decided that an old president’s oldness was a bigger scandal than another old president’s connections to and likely participation in child sex trafficking.

A good number of years ago I had to walk up to Glasnevin cemetery from Phibsborough to attend a funeral. I was wearing all black and I guess the jacket was a tad military-esque. This group of lads see me and start singing "Welcome to the black parade" it genuinely made me laugh.

I always enjoyed the old Miss Manners column in the newspaper because every letter was like "Can I use this obscure manners rule to be an asshole?" and Miss Manners saying "No, because being an asshole is bad manners."

This is the same thing but Miss Manners is the Pope.
