My saves with friends never make it past year 3. They always abandon at that point. Won't stop me playing with others though. There is just something about sharing the experience with friends that makes it even better.

I've slowed down my play on the save a lot.. because I am unsure if it has a 3 digit year number and don't want it to break. 😅

And.. even though I hate where our nation is at.. Even though I am as liberal as they come.. I will support him in that, because I almost lost him. I'll still vote, for me. I will still take part in the conversations. I will not, however, push him to do either.

So he will raise his girls.. look after his mother.. take care of his dogs and his ducks. He will work 60+ hours a week.. then come home for the only rays of light that exist for him in this world.

He will continue to completely go slack face when rights, and equality, and state of our nation is brought up.. because he feels like those conversations punctuate with his identity as the butt of the joke.

But you know what.. Even though he has found strength in himself, the world still doesn't know how to speak to him. He will probably never vote. Why vote when one side hates him, and the other side wants him to hate the world.

I am lucky. My son had two little girls, and his wife abandoned him and them.. and so he got swamped.. brought to his lowest. I was there to lift him.. and in that, he sought therapy. His hate has subsided. He now realizes that being a white male doesn't remove the validity of his struggles.

We have decided that talking to them at the core matters little.. because they are men. We have completely deconstructed their identities to the point that the Andrew Tates, Joe Rogans, and Trumps of the world can take their pieces and build them up into angry hate machines.

In our battle for equality of all, we have turned men, especially white men.. into the butt of our jokes. We have made it socially acceptable to use hateful rhetoric about them. We have said.. "everyone deserves to have a space, but not you."

No matter what I did, no matter the pride I showed in him, no matter the support I gave, no matter how hard I tried.. the world told him he should hate himself for his privilege. So he did. That hate of himself, made him hate the world around him. To the world.. his struggles weren't real.
