#Carnegie by Quined Games. Finally got this to the table after several years on the shelf. It’s a table hog but I like it. If the solo game is good, it’ll be a keeper.

Finished my first game after the third propaganda round. Both the communists and nationalists reached win conditions but communists led. Warlords passed on last round to go first but they probably couldn’t have overtaken for the win. Good time!

Played the first propaganda round by the playbook a couple weeks ago. Finally got around to playing the second round. It’s a lot learning all the different factions but I’m starting to enjoy this look into the history of the time period.

Finally got another play of #RailroadTiles with the Lakes expansion by @horribleguild.bsky.social.
Didn’t score very well without a tight grid. Took all my effort to close off the lake and score my city hall. I enjoy forming the lakes and shore lines but it’s a bit difficult to build around it.

Finally got another play of #RailroadTiles with the Lakes expansion by @horribleguild.bsky.social.
Didn’t score very well without a tight grid. Took all my effort to close off the lake and score my city hall. I enjoy forming the lakes and shore lines but it’s a bit difficult to build around it.

Game3 of #RailroadTiles by @horribleguild. This time I added the world expansion and tried three of its objectives: the swamp, the hotel, and the observatory. I also added three special pawns: the family, the steam train, and the off-road vehicle. My solo mission was Route 66. Completed them all.

I really enjoyed my first game of #RailroadTiles from @Horribleguild. Just a play-through but I can see my family enjoying this. Pretty straightforward, fun to match tiles and build a network. Haven’t even touched the objective tiles or expansions so there’s plenty of room to grow.

Look what arrived today! I’ve really been looking forward to this one. It’s gorgeous, was well-packed, and didn’t use any plastic in the components, organizers, or shipping. That’s quite an evolution. Now let’s get back to Nature! @dcrapuchettes.bsky.social

I love learning Chinese!
Tough batch. I must of played half a dozen games before beating the AI. Swindler is very annoying, giving you curses, messing up your deck. Finally focused on victory cards which all gave extra actions or money. Every hand bought either great hall, mill, farm, or provinces.

Dominated medium AI. Lurkers to gain nobles worked well. Then nobles alternate extra actions and cards to build big buys.

Took 3 games to best the AI. Her ignored the provinces and mostly went after Dukes and Duchies. I combined Courtiers with Farms to get gold and beefed-up buys. Bought the last couple duchies away to end the game and just inch ahead.

Wild game! With the Torturer and the Masquerade both in play I started just taking curses then passing them to my opponent. Also used the upgrade, replace, and mining village to turn cards into money.
