North Dakota mornings don’t hold back. It was -14°, but this view almost makes you forget the cold… almost.

Day 4:
One thing I love about North Dakota is how dark the night skies are. We're lucky to be in an area with low light pollution, making it perfect for stargazing. On the Bortle Scale, most of the state is a Class 1-3, meaning you can see the stars in stunning detail. ✨ #photography #northdakota

Day 3 of our series:
The East Norway Lutheran Church, near Aneta, ND, holds a special place in history. The congregation, organized in 1891, was led by Rev. L. L. Langehaug from 1905 until 1939, when he tragically suffered a stroke during a sermon.

Day 2 of the series:
The East Norway Lutheran Church, built in 1903 on land donated by Johanna Newman, stands quietly in the snow, watching over the prairie. This place once brought Norwegian settlers together back in 1891. Can you imagine the life and laughter this building has seen? #photography

The old Norwegian church near Aneta, ND. Weathered, worn, and glowing in the prairie sunset. This place feels like a story waiting to be told. Kicking off a photo series with this gem. what’s your vibe: peaceful or haunting?

When the sky is blue and the ground is white, the contrast is breathtaking really.

Then one foggy Christmas eve.... Hoar frost is one of the best parts of winter. ❄️
Hoar frost forms when water vapor in the air comes into contact with a solid surface that is already below freezing, creating ice crystals as shown on the branches .

Living in North Dakota usually entails finding random farms to come back to when you actually have your camera.
This is one I had to mark on the map and go back when the sky was right.

Posting here is like yelling into the sky on a quiet day—there’s no echo, no response, just my voice drifting off into the endless blue. 😅 Anyways, here's a bolted sunset in the midst of storm season here in North Dakota.

Views like this make the -28 degree wind chill not as unfathomable.

#Sunsets that stop you in your tracks. There's something about that reflection—quiet, simple, perfect.

This church was built in 1902 and still has its bell hanging at the top. The floor is caved in a bit and some pews still remain. Eastern North Dakota 💜
