Hundreds of black vultures (Coragyps atratus) roosting on Paint Creek Dam.
Black vultures are aggressive, particularly towards livestock and other animals. They attack and kill vulnerable animals like newborn calves, lambs, and piglets, often hunting in groups (like velociraptors).

My mom would have been 98 today. She died in May & I've thought a lot about her life & challenge of living with failing eyesight for many years and finally loss of all useful vision. I'm an afterlife skeptic but I truly hope she's with her parents, seeing something beautiful. I love you, mom.
