Damn, I didn't realize Absolute Superman #14 got delayed. I was really hoping it'd come out this week, partly because I do generally like Absolute Superman, but also because I've been really looking forward to this Ra's Al-Ghul story being over. Past time they got into some proper Superman villains.

I've started playing Alan Wake II. I played the first game earlier this year, and while I liked the Stephen King-esque horror/thriller vibes, the rest of the game wasn't really great. I liked Remedy's Control quite a bit though, so I'm hoping AWII represents something of a quantum leap for them.

Every few years I learn about some Punisher comic written by Garth Ennis that I didn't know existed, and then I have to go and buy it. On this occasion it's Punisher: The Platoon, about Frank's first tour in Vietnam. Should be interesting.

I haven't read a Spider-Man comic in I don't know how many years. I think Slott's run was the last time I checked in. I heard Joe Kelly was taking over Amazing Spider-Man last year, and I remember liking his Spidey stuff from 15-20 years ago, so I figured I'd take a look at his relaunch.

After the goofiness of Absolute Batman, I decided to reread Scott Snyder slightly more restrained Batman work in Detective Comics. This was after the Batman Reborn era, when Dick Grayson was Batman. I never got tired of characters pointing out the difference in Dick's demeanor as Batman vs Bruce's.
