Manchester slightly depresses me now. All those Ivory towers. One week there's a characterful ornate red brick historical building, next week there's a 200 floor stainless steel behemoth.

Only just bumped into it recently. The poor Reliant is holding up well, considering. You do read that the Chinese had rebuilt a lot of roads in Africa in exchange for lots of minerals to keep us in the phones to which we've become accustomed. Not so many on their route!
