I’m watching The Pitt and when Dr. Robby tells the med students where to stand while they are waiting for the helicopter I immediately thought of Dr. Romano. It’s so hard to not see Noah Wyle as Dr. Carter warning the students because he’s seen what can happen.

Super cool for my insurance to cover $40 of my appendectomy. I have “good” insurance too.
How do our patients with high deductible plans cover these things? I have a good job and an FSA I can use. Imagine if I didn’t.
We need a single payor system like every other developed country.

My dog trainer and I spent 6 weeks trying to build trust with this girl.
She was living in a tunnel in front of a warehouse for 6 mos. Today we got her. Just a few days before we are supposed to get snow and ice.
I named her Big Gretch after that lady from MI, @govgretchenwhitmer.bsky.social

I love the unexpected rainbow in this picture. Cleo is a foster fail. I officially adopted her the day Penelope passed away. I think Penelope’s spirit was with us that morning ❤️

I gave Walter a bath 3 hours ago. I just watched him play in the mud for half an hour and it made the evening more tolerable.
