The second one was taken a few months ago, last September, when #BepiColombo did its 4th #MercuryFlyby. It went down to just 165 km from Mercury’s surface, closer than any other spacecraft before 💪🏼 And you can tell by the level of details in the pics👇🏽

First one is from the #MercuryFlyBy #3 that took place mid June 2023, when #BepiColombo came down to ~236km from Mercury’s surface at closest approach👇🏽
