A skeptic who is still finding his voice. Never stop being curious.
I tried to even-exchange this #StJohnsBay shirt at #JCPenney for an identical shirt; however, without a receipt, they would only give a store credit for the most recent sale price and NOT do an exchange. I’ve shopped there for years with no problems; I won’t be back unless they make it right.

It's a bad-faith technique because it relies on spurious claims and because it makes it difficult or impossible for an opponent to respond in the allotted time. Scott coined the term in 1994 after Gish developed a habit of challenging evolutionary biologists to debates on college campuses.

Self-styled political debate influencers often use the rhetorical technique "Gish gallop," whereby a "galloper" floods their opponent with rapid-fire, disconnected, often inaccurate arguments.

Anthropologist Eugenie Scott first used the term to describe the debate style of creationist Duane Gish.

In 2007, as state senator, Dan Patrick walked out on a Muslim invocation prayer so he wouldn't be seen as "endorsing" it.

Now, the Texas Lt. Gov. is demanding all citizens stand for Christian invocations.

So much for religious freedom.

Interesting to see two conflicting messages from the American side of the St. Clair River separating the U.S. and Canada.

One is “America loves our ally and respects Canada’s sovereignty.”

The other is: “American Betrayal and Conquest - Ultra Edition.”

My takeaways from Civil Rights Summit on Disability Rights sponsored by the Michigan Dept. of Civil Rights: “Breaking barriers and building bridges.” Also, it’s important to be curious rather than critical, especially as a supervisor/mgr. #MDCR #ClaudiaGordon #DisabilitiesAren’tAllVisible #Empathy

The IRS has officially shut down an investigation into a church that violated the Johnson Amendment and endorsed political candidates.

The fact that they investigated *at all* might be the bigger story.

A church told members how to vote. The IRS officially says that's fine.
The Johnson Amendment may be in effect, but even the IRS doesn't want to enforce it
