Found a tutorial on how to do a weave pattern in a board. After a couple tests, I got these guys. Quite happy with them! Time consuming process tho. Maple, walnut, canary wood. #woodworking #crafts

A dowel hinge box! Hadn't made one before so it's a little rough but came together well so I'll make some more. Using cheap wood is relaxing when you're experimenting. Roasted poplar and alder.

A beautiful day, I would say that I an hour or so at the start just scouting entry points into the river, so that I wasn't scrambling down a cliff face or anything. It is surprising how much of fishing is simply walking around scouting out the area and working out how to simply get into the water

Saturday fishing! I didn't bring my little cooler to keep any, and the waters are primarily catch and release anyways so all these fish are simply embarrassed on the internet. Some of them were caught with an olive elk hair caddis, the others were caught with a hare's ear nymph.
