Every time I see one of those “my interests” post I think how weird it is that people list their core interests as 20 different things, and don’t just hyperfocus on 3 properties for a year

I’m personally becoming really tired of everything announced getting a delay. Release dates just mean nothing anymore. Honestly, I think I might start preferring games come out rushed at this point.

I see a lot of discussion about how we need other media besides League to monetize Arcane, when I think the big issue is that League has one of the worst new player experiences of any game.

6v6 is fun and way better, but a lot of the poor design decisions of ow2 still carry over

Prediction: The 6v6 format will allow for more aggressive plays and be more fun, but the fact that they haven’t reintroduced all the cc from ow1 will lead to the stronger tank combos feeling really, really oppressive.

Lamenting how esports is going down the Fortnite pathway. League changing fundamental gameplay mechanics, fundamentally remaking characters (design and lore) to tie in with the cross promotion, or holding off on redesigns because it doesn’t fit their battle pass theme. Anything for more content.

Arcane was really, really good, but it felt extremely rushed at many points (while also being shockingly slow at other points, for some reason). It needed a bare minimum of three more episodes, or a whole additional season, or a vastly reduced scope in the number of characters it focused on.

Jake tries to spin the narrative of "oh i just wasn't a good tracer", but really he was awful at everything in owl season 1, including junkrat

I really hate the recent trend of only using povs in ow content. Like, yes, don't let me see anything that happens in the fight or any complex macro while you talk about very very basic micro, because that's all you're really able to see from povs.

Recent Arcane episodes were so good. I think the show found it's footing in bringing Caitlyn back to a really good supporting character, rather than trying to make her a lead that she wasn't set up for (as they did in the first 3 episodes).

Fall Guy should've been a generic film, but a lot of the pieces are shockingly inept. The main characters completely lack arcs, and a few themes were kinda toyed with but never explored. The film lacks an emotional core to give all its action scenes meaning or make you care about the characters.

Dragon Age: Origins struggles with its open world scope, like most of the games in the genre. It has a lot of fun roleplay options, but these options aren't focused on through the slog of a combat system that takes up the majority of the game.

The 20 extra characters in the limit is probably a good reason to use this platform
