With the movie coming out finishing book 2 and starting book 3 I believe) I am unsure how it will be translated into the donghua but I highly recommend looking at the carrd for the novels if you are worried about anything in particular as they do have the trigger warnings. I love it though!

I love tgcf and so far the donghua is more lighthearted and the relationship between the two leads is very sweet. Season 2 is a bit darker but also not bad. I will warn as someone who knows the novels that there are darker themes in later books (currently animated is book 1 and some of book 2...
