You’ll find us on the @vocalzonehq stage at Teddy Rocks 2026 – come along and get loud with us.

Massive thanks to Black Star Records for plucking us out of the void & including us in what will no doubt be a truly epic weekend. 🖤

A handful of snaps from the final edition of the @brighton_mitre Hove Park Crits. Quality entertainment as always, sadly I had to disappear before the E12 race.

We're going bigger than usual for August, as it could well be the last ride in summer conditions (no Sept edition, sorry!). Rolling out at 09.00 sharp. Fair bit of tarmac, but also plenty of gravel and singletrack. Gravel bike over MTB, but you'll want bigger than 35mm tyres.

Spent a lot of time yesterday getting everything in this shot very hot and bothered, tracking guitars for some pre-album demos.

The “M90” bridge pickup from Eternal Guitars pushing that amp into the stratosphere, I was achieving Gojira-style pick scrapes from what could really be a very polite rig

Another demo up on the Bandcamp 🎺

Head over for a smattering of riffs and a fuzz pedal right on the limit. There’s more where that came from.

More than one golden hour last night - glad I didn’t put off getting the bike out until this evening ⛈️

HMCC Sussex Ride 023: Forditude.
Flowing singletrack, wide chalk roads carving across the landcape, punctuated by unassailable gradients.

The lesson of this weekend’s ride: after your shakedown, check the torques again. Otherwise you'll discover that creak isn't your cleat, it's your crank about to fall off.

An otherwise incident-free, premium edition of HMCC Sussex. Good pals, great trails, unrivalled chunky chips.

Every stone turned uncovers something else to clean, something else worth replacing while I’m there. Still on course to be complete [for now] in time for @piercitycycles Open Workshop on the 19th, with a new look and a new song in its heart.

First evening ride in daylight of 2025 🕶️

Big crew for the Porteur Midweek Casuals, with a punchy route c/o guest leader Mason. Champagne gravel everywhere.

Fists in the air, wheels on the ground – HMCC Sussex rides again.

The trails are in premium condition, my friends, and we are going to partake. Don’t let the ascent total put you off: the views and surroundings make it all that much easier.

16 years since I last saw them in that room. I think I now *finally* get what we have with today’s iteration of Architects. Properly good show.

A weird experience for me at yesterday’s blues jam: I got to hear my guitar being played by someone else. Kid is a great player too, even when they had to deal with my silly tuning and funny switches. 60mm sigma lens I’ve been playing with doing the business too.

Building leviathan choruses to test the structural integrity of our favourite rehearsal studio. The walls fared better than Jack’s amp valves.

The sun shone most of the day, but we still found damp conditions. Aka this completely impassable bridleway that was ankle deep water all over. The pond isn’t a deliberate installation. #hmcc

After a couple of fallow months, HMCC Sussex rides again – and it’s an exceptionally flat route, since my legs are not what they were back in the autumn.

~ Sunday 09 Feb - 09.15 meet for 09.30 depart from Ford Station. ~

In other two-wheeled deep cleans, this thing is almost as de-assembled and scrubbed as it will ever be. Quickshifter mod fitter, new exhaust system up next. On the road again by the end of Feb, I hope.

The patina of ~6000km. Tools look best when well-used.

I do take care of this bike (honest) but I did also commission it/put it together on a brief of balancing performance with resilience. This frame will see me through to the day I can turn the pedals no longer.

Deeply in the rabbit hole of doing this sort of thing lately. Bikes gathering dust.
Some delicate, brooding love songs deserve an evil riff-bound twin.
