And probably my favorite album of the year. Just absolutely love this one. Call me a Geese convert.

It would be criminal if I didn't include the entire output of my friend and brother from another mother @pragmagick.bsky.social. His work reached a new level this year and it looks to only get better in 2026.

I always dug most of The National's output but Matt Beringer's solo work has a different kind of quality to it that I appreciate.

I really dug this album of sad alt-folk songs. It hits even harder with the PNW rains rolling in a taking up residence for the season.

Gonna start with The Protomen's long-awaited Act 3 because I'm one of those people that have been chomping at the bit to finally hear this and it DID NOT disappoint.

You and your spineless ilk are why I turned Independent and won't "back the blue no matter who." We need more parties and we need the ones we have to do better than this, you feckless coward.

Wasn't expecting to make a whole damn thread but this album also kicks some serious ass. I lost track of The Hives probably 10 years ago but wanted to give this new one a try. Absolutely an all killer/no filler album.

This one makes it a pretty close race but that's because I have a lot of deep seated love for Protomen. How can you go wrong with band that transforms MegaMan into a rock opera about resistance and revolution? Been waiting 15 years for this album.

The Long Walk was harrowing but good. I also enjoyed the hell out of The Life of Chuck, Novocaine, Nobody 2, and the Toxic Avenger remake.

It's always been my preferred version and I'm super happy that Microcosm has given me permission to put it back out there. It's got way more art and it's laid out exactly to MY vision of the thing.
