He/Him. Democracy Loving Shitlib. Nov 4, 2025 was a good warm up for for what we can do on Nov 3, 2026

Techbros have always been assholes with wildly varying degrees of vision and capability, meanwhile the rest of the nerds on the other end of a couple of spectrums (gender and the) are genuinely conjuring up miracles

Really it needs the Charlie Kaufman Spike Jonze treatment.

How long until they start counting the number of deployed AI agents in the employment data? Trump will gloat about not only having 0% unemployment but also say Americans are working 336 hours per week on average.

Manosphere garbage also tends be just so reductive about the broader human experience as well, it diminishes both male and female experiences and the much broader shared space of life. Cultivating and sunsetting interests is so key to enjoying life in all its changes and forms.

You know, in all of her decisions I'm definitely not going to knock her for trying something genuinely difficult and not hitting the mark. Getting humbled is good honestly and no one succeeds at everything.

I would hope that whatever the medium 'prompt guy' is just not a thing. If a Thomas Kinkade pops out of the hopper I'm not going to be the one pitching a fit over whether that is real art or not. A lot more artists getting a life means a lot more unexpected brilliance and frankly a better society.

His twisting form misshapen in every dimension.

relief, hope he's busy and well, he was writing about his work odyssey earlier this year and it's been brutal for everyone I know who's been displaced.

My teenage self wouldn’t even be able to believe something like that could be made, yet alone handled as well as it was

Every couple million over 100 shouldn’t have a 2% tax, just an additional artist you pay 100k/year. A billionaire should be paying the way for 900 artists and craftsmen. Elon can keep his half a trillion for the low, low price of a Wyoming of artists.

It was mostly as good as Shape of Water, just a really surprising turn to obtuseness in the third act, could edit out 20 seconds and the film jumps from ⭐️⭐️⭐️½ to ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️½

zero coverage, just 'surprise presents from Hocul!'

@assembledatoms.bsky.social So Del Toro's Frankenstein is mostly great, often one of the most beautiful pieces of cinema I've ever seen and then totally marred by an Act III line that is so ham fisted I did a spit take. Truly contained multitudes.

Median Household income after taxes is ~64,240 (data from 2022), that premium is now half of that. How is that even remotely manageable?

Few things riskier than elected reps past retirement age, not enough skin in the future game
