it's damn near impossible to try to explain that things have nuance, because everyone has their take, they all have different needs, and their needs are **more of a priority than everyone else's**...it's just a minefield. A necessary one, but a sometimes painful one.

Is, say, a marginalized user justifiably pissed off about someone being ignorant of a thing relatively obvious to them? Well, gotta gauge how bad it really is, and is it worth it to do anything more than, say, a threadban?

They also wanted to make sure that the 8 weren’t up for reelection in ‘26. Shaheen and Durbin are retiring so they don’t give a fuck either.
