#WeeknightWriters Completely spaced out on following this due to really rambunctious kittens, but I'm back. The most exciting thing I have going on is a crowdfunding campaign to bring The Dark Side of Super to life as an audio book.

It would really help me as I make these final steps to re-release Inarora's Excursion 🥰

In 1882, a mysterious book appeared in London shops, advising that certain humans were actually dragons that had forgotten their heritage.

Here is that book, reprinted for the first time. Help me make this special edition a reality!

My favorite part about #FirstDraftFall is making slow progress again on a project that has been stuck in my head for a while.

Also chatting with everyone!

#WeeknightWriters Q2

Mostly with health and motivation to sit down and write. I was very tired this past week with some migraines that made it harder to write.
Q2: Are you struggling with anything specific in your #FirstDraftFall project? Tell us about it and we’ll see how we can help! #WeeknightWriters

Hi #WeeknightWriters I'm Steph working on AnimalsWIP, a YA fantasy book about teens who can transform into animals competing in a sports competition.

Writing has been alright. Not as much this week, but some progress is better than none!
Hello #WeeknightWriters! Come on in, introduce yourself and your WIP, and let us know how your #FirstDraftFall project is going!

Fuck AI.

Hire human artists, writers, and editors please!

This is why I can't find a job and went to freelancing.
How is AI *really* impacting jobs?

Henley Chiu, the CTO of Revealera, a jobs data analysis firm, analyzed 180 million jobs listings in 2024 and 2025, in an effort to find out. Chiu found an:

-8% drop in all jobs postings
-~30% drop in art, photography, writing jobs
-22% drop in journalism jobs
What’s really going on with AI and jobs?
Record-breaking layoff reports, Amazon's mass firings, and a slump in entry level employment. Is AI behind it all?

Hey, #Lynnwood, WA! A colleague of mine lost a necklace that is very important to her at our conference at Lynnwood Event Center last weekend (11/8).

It is a gold necklace with an uncut ruby that isn't quite facet grade so it's a pink/red color with lots of ridges.

Please share so this gets out!

If I can make enough monthly income from freelance editing full-time, the goal is to leave the US. There's several countries who have freelance/self-employed visas that I'm considering.
"In 2025, 40% of women aged 15 to 44 say they would move abroad permanently if they had the opportunity. The current figure is four times higher than the 10% who shared this desire in 2014, when it was generally in line with other age and gender groups."
Record Numbers of Younger Women Want to Leave the U.S.
The percentage of younger women in the U.S. who express a desire to migrate permanently has surged in the past decade.
