Canada has a long way to go on actual Indigenous languages. I was born in Montréal on unceded Mohawk territory, and live now in Ottawa, on unceded Algonquin land. There are some efforts to re-name public buildings and roads, but very little other acknowledgement of first languages.

Same in Canada over French. Many anglophones in Quebec thought it déclassé to speak it. I was in the first big French-immersion program, partly because my Donegal-born Ulster-Scot father was horrified he hadn’t learned Irish or Irish history.

No, that is not so. Bar ads vary across jurisdictions. Most places test some substantive law, some procedural, & a lot on ethics.
Law school prepares you so thoroughly that it is hard to support the existence of bar ads when a candidate has been to an accredited law school in the jurisdiction.
