At @uio.no we have almost reached the end of this fall's teaching period. What has stood out for me was “Man-Machine-Work”, a course for a mixed cross-disciplinary crowd of Norwegian and int. BA and MA students on the historical relationship between humans and technology in the workplace.

This year's meeting is special because of the historical moment as the ILO is trying to maintain its relevance by entering a debate on a new labour standard on decent work in the platform economy. It was great to get a glimpse of it, share some historical knowledge and feel the engagement.

Last October I had the pleasure of being interviewed by our wonderful Oslo-based student-run history magazine Fortid and to talk about my research and my teaching. As their website is still down, I have gained permission to share it. Anyone interested in a pdf of the full interview, let me know.

I had two great days contributing to this year's Geneva school at Runö. Geneveskola is an amazing institution, having prepared young trade unionists from the Nordic countries since 1931 (!) to interact with the ILO. Highly rewarding to talk to enthusiastic people about the ILO's history and future.

Only two months to go for the third meeting of our "History of Work in the Cultural Economy" network. This time the turn is on us Oslo people to host a great line-up of speakers on "Getting a Fair Share? Cultural Work under Intellectual Property Regimes".
