I find it strange that some professors run students submissions through AI detectors.
If LLMs are trained and retrained on human-written texts, doesn't that mean that any text is more likely to incorrectly flag as AI-generated (false positive)?
Try some AI-detectors on your old publication, and see!

NEW: NSF will be kicked out of their building. Announcement will be made tomorrow by HUD Sec. and Governor of VA. HUD will take over the NSF building over the next two years.

NSF staffer: "There is no planning for NSF, no identified future location, appropriation for a new building or a move."

Utricularia is one my of fav carnivorous plants.
Their traps can suck in prey in less than one millisecond (!!), reaching up to 600g accelerations (!!), which is one of the fastest movements in the plants! #Utricularia #Plantsciences #iamabotanist #plantjoy 🧪🌱🌾

TRY database, so useful but can be frustrating because a lot of the trait parameters are not standardized. And then there's GIFT, equally super useful but not enough information on a trait I'm looking for - leaf margin!
What are y'all's go-to for resolving taxonomic synonyms in R? kewr? taxize?
