There are two really solid modern ERB adaptations, "John Carter" and "The Legend of Tarzan," which didn't make money and apparently spooked studios out of using old IP.
Damn shame. So many good stories in the old lost word/weird fiction/adventure stacks, but they're not marketable like Star Wars.

I know how much hard work and patience children need. Anyone who is able to commit to being a parent round the clock and every day of the year and still keep themselves stable and healthy is Herculean in my view.
That being said… I hate being the one who gets heat when there’s the smallest mishap..

Honestly, I think to me, this is why making culture products (film, tv shows, games, etc) mocking socially toxic models of masculinity, its probably more productive to produce products that highlight and valorize positive examples.
But of course, that's a fair bit harder.

It would probably end up accidentally celebrating the lifestyle if you make it about them. Would have to be a Leverage type show I think.
