I'm fed up with abuse, fascism & extremism being normalized. Our justice system has always been a product of white supremacy but there's no attempt to hide that anymore. The media continues to celebrate it knowing their actions only serve to enhance the extreme views people hold.

Night 5 of no sleep January (Perhaps better named Jaded Jan?).

I couldn't face another night of frustration, tossing & turning in the bed. I decided to ditch the bedroom & head for the gym. Opened the door at midnight and about to jump in the shower by 2am.

I hope I sleep tomorrow.

For years I've avoided it for that reason, but I think I actually disagree?

It's successive governments who enabled this. The blood is on their hands. Labour, and politician with a platform, have a choice to continue this route or start mitigating the damage they've already caused. Let's be clear, those of us working with trans kids have been sounding the alarm for years.

It's time for my board meeting at @blossom.lgbt! I know the relationship between CEO & Trustees can be rocky but I absolutely adore my board and look forward to these meetings. There's something about the way we've managed to capture the grass roots feel whilst being constructive and supportive.

Heres 3 of my proudest accomplishments for queer people in the time I forgot to use BlueSky:

🌸 Launched a free mentoring programme for a cohort of over 35.

🌸 Delivered 56 free socials & a 2 week art exhibit.

🌸 Built a free library of tech, affirming clothing, & sensory toys.

I will be reducing the time I spend on meta. I have no intention of being complicit in contributing funds, through data or as sales, to a company that wants to allow abuse towards people like me. When the political climate puts us in danger, we should expect more from institutions.

I'm also a keynote speaker and have worked in some of the UK's largest companies to help them embed inclusion... Outside of all of the work stuff, I consider myself an intersectional activist working towards civil rights and equity across the UK. I also have a super nerdy passion for queer history.
