I heard on the old radio that folks should spend money on experiences instead of stuff because the happiness from experiences lasts longer.

Those fools have never bought a Turbo Granny to hang on their rearview mirror.

"...the only thing bookish sorts love more than books is complaining about books and reading."

That was a fun sentence from the article!
We seem to be getting stupider when we could really use our wits. The antidote? Reading more. Also a good antidote against the evils of social media, from distraction to misinformation. And did I mention the pleasure of it? Don't miss out on the pleasure... #books

Upon seeing a post from Gavin Newsom in my feed, I exclaimed, "Didn't I fucking block you?!"

This post will serve as receipt that I have, at least today, fucking blocked him.

My hot take is such arguments are special pleading/begging the question bs.

Most people do not have an understanding of what "intelligence" is in such contexts, and those who have thought about it do not have definitions that would work in such an argument.

It is a very good breakfast idea, with room for permutations!

I would use a poached egg to maintain the low effort, but adding a sauce would be tasty if you have the energy!
I very rarely eat breakfast but for some reason I dreamt about this, this morning.

It was good but not as yummy as it was in my dream 😅

Because this is alleged to have occurred to invest in OpenAI, I think this is more of a shakeup and not a sure sign of an AI bubble burst.

Nvidia makes AI chips but other companies, like Intel and AMD, are entering/ in that market. Nvidia losing its dominance is not AI collapsing under its weight

I'll get back to "party unity" as soon as the Senate Minority Leader tells us if he voted for the Democratic party nominee for mayor of his city.

I'm tired of party unity only ever running one way.

I see we're at this stage of Democratic Party trying to save face.

"You got to work within the Democratic Party system!"

Fuck off. 10 years into this nightmare iteration, and nothing was done while things became worse.

Also, our gov supports and abates at least two genocides now.
