HIV stigma is still one of the biggest barriers to care, but storytelling can shift culture.

This #WorldAIDSDay, GLAAD celebrates the advocates, artists, content creators, and community leaders using their voices to challenge misinformation and reimagine what HIV representation looks like in media.

Today is #WorldAIDSDay, and I’m thinking about the communities who fought to get us to this moment.

Thanks to PEPFAR, HIV treatment is more accessible and more people are living long, healthy lives.

Let’s keep fighting for a world where everyone can get the care they need.

On #WorldAIDSDay we remember the incredible activism that turned the tide on this deadly epidemic in the past

I’m sad that funding cuts by G7 nations are making such activism necessary yet again

It’s #WorldAIDSDay - Did you know sanitation and barriers are industry standard in tattooing because Cliff Raven, a gay tattooer from Chicago, made sure he could still provide service to his own community as most shops refused to tattoo homosexuals when the AIDS crisis emerged?

Today December 1st is #WorldAIDSDay.
I remember the millions who have died.
I celebrate the transformative progress that has been made.
I resolve as an HIV researcher and advocate to keep up the fight to end the HIV epidemic.
Do you know you status?
Get tested. Get treated. Get on PrEP.

It is #WorldAIDSDay

Treatment and prevention methods have come worlds forward since the 80s. Know your status, get checked, and get educated.

PrEP and PEP are fantastic methods of preventing the spread of HIV, and with the correct treatment, a positive diagnosis is not the end of the world ❤️

I was diagnosed with #HIV in 1998, when I was 30.
Many of my friends had died of AIDS. I did not expect to live to 50.
I’m 58 now.
HIV treatment works.
Treatment also makes it impossible for me to pass HIV on during sex.
Ensure HIV treatment for all.
End HIV stigma.

ICE detaining indigenous people who were literally here first.

Despicable.
Miles, an Indigenous actor best known for her roles in “Northern Exposure,” “Smoke Signals,” “Wyvern” and “The Last of Us,” handed them her tribal ID from the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation in Oregon.

Yet, Miles recalled one agent calling it “fake.”

Oh no I just saw a picture of the art supply suitcase go by so it must be time for my yearly psa: don't buy that.

I've been given it many times in my life and it was usable once: in 1989.

"But I don't know what to get my artist friends/talented cousins for the holidays!"

I will help.

Please be aware of HOW MANY scams are out there right now. You can tell AI “create a book promotion website for me in English” & it’s done.
I got a chilling email last week, asking if I’d used “The Author’s Edge” services. The site used me as a reference with a fraudulent VHStone gmail address.
