Trump has given the PM a desk set with stationery. And a student called Florence has given him a friendship bracelet.

66 federal pollies (29%) have now declared their private interests to the 48th parliament. 160 have yet to do so with only five business days left before the deadline of 19 August. Poor form. openpolitics.au/register/bro...

Here's a great documentary about the collapse of Scale Facilitation and its misuse of $76m in taxpayer funds. The founder David Collard flew Peter Dutton to Scale's New York office in 2022 at company expense, though it seems taxpayers picked up the tab.

Wow! Independent MP Andrew Wilkie supports in-principle our proposed ban on MPs accepting gifts, sponsored travel and hospitality. Subject to an inquiry.

He is the ONLY MP or senator so far to have responded favourably to our proposal. #auspol #gifts

Allegra Spender blames an 'oversight' for failing to declare seven directorships and four shareholdings. How does someone forget to declare this many interests? Extraordinary.

In other words, no. The Opposition does not support our proposed ban on gifts from influence peddlers. If you live in a Coalition electorate email your MP today using the link below and tell them to support a ban. openpolitics.au/analysis/no-...

It's great to see some independent candidates support a ban on MPs taking gifts, travel and hospitality from influence peddlers. Congrats to @nicboele.bsky.social, Claire Miles,
and @drveritycooper.bsky.social. We need to work on
Senator Ross Cadell. 😀

Progress. Climate 200-backed Indie Nicolette Boele supports our proposed ban on politicians accepting gifts, junkets, and hospitality. It's a sad reflection on Canberra's culture of entitlement that only one sitting pollie, Nats Senator Ross Cadell, is open to reform. openpolitics.au/analysis/no-...

A start. Senator Ross Cadell shares our concerns about corruption risks from gifts, junkets and hospitality. While he doesn't support a ban he's open to imposing monetary limits and preventing foreign entities and foreign governments from giving. #auspol openpolitics.au/analysis/no-...

Our field agents report the AFP has finalised its investigation into the Deputy PM’s former bestie David Collard over an alleged $126m tax fraud. Based in NYC, Collard is being constantly monitored by 3 letter govt agencies on the AFP’s behalf to ensure he doesn’t go on the lam.

The PM has breached disclosure rules by not declaring his $4.3m clifftop investment property is in Copacabana. He can't use absurd 'security' considerations to avoid transparency about his assets. @AlboMP

To help us hold power to account, please consider making a donation. We don't like to rattle the tin given many Australians are doing it tough, however we need to raise funds to cover our costs. Any support you can give - even $2 - is welcome. Many tks🙏
