It is difficult to sum up a year in one slide but we have had a go (we will probably think of more as soon as we post this). We are grateful to everyone who has helped us and collaborated with us and we are looking forward to an exciting and productive 2025!
5 grant applications (2 awarded – congrats to Stephen & Simon – and 3 ongoing) 10 peer reviewed papers, several submitted (and number of rejections) 2 successful DPhils – well done Lachlan & Xiaoyi! 5 visitors/students joined us over the year from Italy, USA and more locally We said goodbye to one member of staff in January and welcomed another at the start of November 2 new DPhil students started in October September saw Stephen Mellon give a keynote lecture at YAHiR Professor John O’Connor, one of the designers of the Oxford Knee, sadly died at the age of 90 We presented our work in Serbia, Scotland, and the Netherlands Chris Dodd did his last Oxford UKR operation

Great to see two paper submissions this week which have come from work done by our DPhil students for their theses - and in other news our Christmas tree is up and looking very festive #biomechanics #instrumentation #FiniteElementAnalysis #Orthosky

It is much more likely that we get rain than #snow but we can dream. #Oxford looks very pretty when it is snowing #WinterWeather
Weather forecast for tomorrow from 7 am showing rain/snow and then light snow for four hours but with a less than 50% chance. The temperature is due to be about 3 or 4 degrees
