This is a full-time Boris stan account. Even if I'm not posting about Boris, like, ever, I am still stanning Boris.
They've really adopted the Andrew Tate manosphere position on consent, coercion, and the desirability of control over the woman, er, girl, er, woman, er, girl.

Anyway, totally normal and sane political movement. Not vile and broken at all.

Excellent to see the Republicans speedrunning the neckbeard Usenet arguments of "technically, it's ephebophila."

A+, no notes, totally sane country not completely broken by the reification of white supremacy into an entire structure of rule.

Oh, it helps them. It give them an excuse for not doing the things which are hard and which they don't want to do anyway because they're hollow people who just like being Senators, not actually effecting lasting change for the good of the people of the country.

The Senate is a cancer.

The only Never Trumper I really have time for is Stuart Stevens, who at least cops to his part in building a fascist machine with a "Fuehrer goes here" slot for Trump.

I also kinda like furiously woke Bill Kristol, but I don't much trust him, bc he just switched, with no acknowledgement AFAIK.

Unless you're angling to be one of them or serve them, nothing will make you understand how morally and intellectually bankrupt our ruling class is faster than actually being around them.
November 13, 2025 at 2:53 PM
Dude standing over a body with a bloody knife: "He also murdered me!"

Reasonable both-sides skeptics: "Yeah, sounds plausible. Who can really know?"
November 13, 2025 at 2:40 PM
As someone once said, "Because they like Trump and they want to help him rule us like a king." Not sure who it was.
November 13, 2025 at 2:17 PM
Guarantee there was an integration clause which made the agreement the sole understanding between the parties, regardless of prior discussions. So the "we'll be nice" pinky promise was literally worthless, erased by the actual agreement.
November 13, 2025 at 12:56 AM
Which, ouch. If the Republicans on the committee voted to release THESE what is in the rest?

The bunker is being expanded to have a number of small rooms, you know, like bedrooms, but with drains.
November 12, 2025 at 11:57 PM
Because even if this specific regime can be turfed out, the rot will remain, locked in by corruption, the Senate, and SCOTUS, just waiting for the country to go insane again -- which we can do every 4 years.
November 12, 2025 at 11:53 PM
The system is broken and the trust is gone. Research, government generally, trade rules, and military alliances, all shot to shit permanently unless (1) we address the rot and criminality in the ruling classes and (2) we make structural changes so we can't vomit up another corrupt regime.
November 12, 2025 at 11:53 PM
No, no, Caroline. Really hit that first syllable in "technically" and the second one in ephebophila, like this:

"TECHnically, TECHnically, it's ePHEBophilia!"
November 12, 2025 at 11:49 PM
So, let me tell you about some emails we have seen recently from very important people which might make you feel better about this…

More on-topic: Yes, that sucks so very much.
November 12, 2025 at 11:46 PM
The rot in our ruling classes has always been there, but it feels like it's gotten deeper and more vile in the last 20 years or so. To the point where they're all compromised and entirely lacking any moral center.
November 12, 2025 at 10:51 PM
Also, hugely graffitied this review!
November 12, 2025 at 10:48 PM
It would. If the police chiefs weren't already suborned, or in those cases where they're not, if they actually controlled their police.

Cops answer to their political priors and their union bosses, not the appointed police chief or local electeds (unless they already agree with the cops).
November 12, 2025 at 6:14 PM
So many people for years saying "they can't", "they won't", or (my lord, the sweet innocence) "they wouldn't" and mocking those who accurately assessed the nature of the conservative movement and the rot of the ruling classes and said "Why not? What would stop them? Who would stop them?"
November 12, 2025 at 6:12 PM
Lucky thing for Trump (and a lot of other people) that he killed himself when he did, while in federal custody, under the first Trump regime.

My "correlation IS causation" T-shirt is generating a lot of questions about my intelligence and motives which are answered by the shirt.

It's a shame that Sarah Kendzior has been banned for… reasons. Because, look, They Knew.
November 12, 2025 at 5:43 PM
With a second Democrat running who was funded by billionaires donors and backed sub silentio by much of the state Dem establishment. Seriously, > 50% instead of a plurality there is a massive win.
November 12, 2025 at 3:50 PM
If you're a no-name backbencher or a state legislator. But do we seriously think that AOC would have trouble spinning up a national team, or lacks national name recognition? Really?

She is more savvy than I am, and will do what's right for her. But I don't think she needs or should want the Senate.
November 12, 2025 at 5:17 AM
The Republicans will NEVER run out of hostages. At some point you have to just say "Fine, fucking shoot them and own it. Let everyone see that it was you what shot them. We're not going to keep being forced to kill people for you."
