I do not really believe that "indie sleaze" was a real cultural moment, let alone one that is replicable in any real way by a new generation; mostly people dressed like that because cocaine was cheap
I will probably never financially recover from coming-of-age during the great recession, but it was also an era where you could waltz up to the bar at a shitty club and buy your friends twenty bottles of PBR for a dollar each and, ever so briefly, feel like the king of the world
