So they can relaunch the game on a new platform. But they're offering a $15 upgrade DLC to the new version, which seems fair.

(delisting because there's an updated version coming, but the updates are very minor-- you won't be missing out on much if you get this version!)

Sweet, more than happy to chip RGG $15 for the upgrade. I love Y0 but the new content didn't justify buying it over again at full price. This is a lot more reasonable.

This game was absolutely incredible. The way it messes with your head is still the best implementation of that mechanic I've seen in a game. A sequel feels impossible at this point but I'd love a remaster.

Skenes has 55 starts, 1.96 ERA. Back of the envelope, Skubal has a 2.61 ERA through his last 55 starts (the last two seasons, excluding his first 7 starts in 2024). Still excellent numbers, but Skenes has been better. Weird framing!

We don't have any benchmarks on the RX 7400 since it's not been released outside of OEM (i.e. you have to buy a PC with it inside, you can't buy it standalone). But the similar RX 7600 is capable of running similar games to spider man at 60 fps on ultra at 1080p: www.tomshardware.com/reviews/amd-...

(Digital Foundry confirmed in their vid that Valve did NOT swap out the GDDR6 memory for something faster. So this seems like a stock RX 7400, perhaps with some custom overclocking. That's somewhat disappointing but again, we'll see what the benchmarks say.)

The closest card in Nvidia's lineup would probably be the RTX 5050. Not apples-to-apples because the 5050 is based on the latest Nvidia architecture, not the last-gen architecture like the Radeon card, and it's also a little bit more expensive.

I'll add that "RDNA 3, 28 compute units" sounds like the RX 7400. RDNA 3 is last-gen and this is a budget card. But they might've boosted it from stock specs. Could've swapped out the GDDR6 memory for faster memory, maybe. They also probably overclocked it.

It almost feels like AMD hoped no one would notice the quiet launch of its ultra-budget RX 7400 GPU
AMD is putting the "discrete" in discrete graphics with this GPU launch.

Hard to say because the GPU and CPU aren't off-the-rack models. We'll know when the press gets their hands on one to benchmark.

This is the correct call, that team desperately needs to build some stability. If they're still atrocious midway through next season, that would be a good time to reassess.
