I faced this dilemma in my shmup and I just used properties. I wrote a single script and during runtime, or in a collection (Defold), I can just edit the values per game object basis.

The equivalent in Godot would be @export and then you can change the values/properties on a scene-by-scene basis

Yeah. Everything for a full release (besides extras like achievements, leaderboards etc) is in place. Just that the Bug led to crashes and for the life of me I couldn't figure out how to solve it so I removed my submission.

Im sure it will work by locally debugging. The problem comes in distribution. I distribute my game via itch as an apk as well as on Play Store.

They say that it will work just fine as long as I am verified but that isnt a guarantee tbh. It just feels like policing and not actually about security

Google will disable apk Sideloading next year.

Sideloading will only be available for verified developers... in Theory.

They claim it's for the safety of the users but it's clearly to disable apps such as Revanced and Newpipe because it hurts their ad revenue as well as some paid apps.

The new leaderboards and achievements are in place as well as the UI overhaul + improvements. All that's left is adding the new SFX!

Unfortunately, I'll be going offline from tomorrow. I havent paid my internet for the coming month but I'll manage #indiedev #solodev #gamedev #pixelart
