Hobbyist. A place to post my more project oriented posts without annoying others following my personal account https://bsky.app/profile/bguyle.itch.io

Playing with Godot and Aseprite currently. Maybe a little Audacity, eventually Blender I hope.
videos with different devs being given the same assets and going off for a few days brings a lot of inspiration. Creating in Godot is great but there are almost too many things to work on as a part time hobbyist, I am always learning something new.

Not saying this about my projects because they're clearly not ready. But I see a number of very small time devs in some sort of version of development hell that is at least a level above tutorial hell. One had a video about it being worth it and I'm screaming release the game already.

Unfortunately my art skills are more in line with things like pictionary where I'm more concerned about getting ideas or general concepts across. This has led me to think about something closer to iconography for art. I do love super simple and sleek UI, Skill Tree, or other "slick" uses of symbols.

designing while you create content for the game too. I don't think this is a perfect solution but it's good enough for the situation.

I do really like the idea of a feature complete player avatar that can do all the tricks from the start. Decisions, decisions...

Honestly I bounce between wanting to be seen and heard and wanting to be embarrassed for feeling that way. Especially when there are so many important things out there.

Even toyed with the idea of switching my public and private account but I don't think that changes anything if I'm being honest. I'm really just getting turned off by people and technology lately. I know that seems silly when using technology to produce a product for people. It's all exhausting.
