Playing with Godot and Aseprite currently. Maybe a little Audacity, eventually Blender I hope.
The biggest blow to my ego was my girlfriend saying something recently along the lines of "I still don't know what you do in your game."

Like the bones are really bare but ouch. Which leads me to wonder, lean into the simplicity and wrap up or try to find at least one new angle.

Not saying this about my projects because they're clearly not ready. But I see a number of very small time devs in some sort of version of development hell that is at least a level above tutorial hell. One had a video about it being worth it and I'm screaming release the game already.

Found a nice shader, on Godot Shaders, to bulge things out on their x axis. Thinking about using it in combo with this barrel to make a barrel launcher for my player character.

How are everyone's personal #projects for 2025 going?

Stayed up later than I planned with work tomorrow but I had to check off at least one of my actionable goals off the board. It doesn't look like much still but I fixed the ball drop counter to go off with the respawn (delayed) to go off with the ball drop (but not accurate because multiple presses

Added in a placeholder track so I can work on my AudioManager in godot. Didn't want to have it as simple as a track per scene, instead wanted to work with global scripts to have a more present handler.

Also added detectors to the buckets at the bottom so they can animate when the ball enters.

It never ends, does it?!

It may not look like much, and there are still many placeholder art assets but getting a splash screen -> menu and then getting the level loading to bring in the player and UI elements feels like a nice accomplishment on one of my
#godot projects.

Why hasn't anyone made the ninja guy running on the side of the kids vehicle game yet? Doesn't necessarily have to be an auto runner, but would most likely need to have auto scrolling stages.

Also bonus points for having something resembling live radio with music changing or morning zoo simlish.

Work is doing a great job of inspiring me to not go home and doom scroll or really do anything for that matter. There is only the craft and honing it (proceeds to try to reign in attention span long enough for new ideas to drip into my soft matter.

Picture for good vibes.

Thought it would be nice to take a little break from the #godot tutorial I was working on and see if I could add something a little fun. Gave my space soldier a spin attack I could hold down, to see if I could smack some rigid body grenades around.

I couldn't remember if I shared this one on here or just Twitter, I think it was only on that god forsake site though. This was some more progress with the pinball/breakout/pachinko game tutorial I was working on. The video itself is just the ball drop though. This is after figurin out health #godot

We're so spoiled nowadays when it's comes to interactive media. Thinking back to the flashplayer days even, we had all sorts of games and weird little experiments coming out all the time. I remember wasting so much time on Madness Interactive.

Even something simple like this could have killed time

Was getting some baseball time in while working on a shooter tutorial for #godot I ended up adding another collision shape so the gun itself was connecting with the grenades.

Godot progress on one of my projects, not the current one I've been toiling on but I think the one before that. Getting some good progress, and further than this video shows too!
