my parents want me to major in business, but i want to get into one that has a good jazz ensemble program. no marching band, bass amps are too heavy to wear as a backpack.

there was a radio station that did a stunt format for a couple of weeks where a voice would say a number, they'd play a 30 second clip of a song, and then it repeats. you could look up what the song was on a website. it was better than whatever came before or after it.

well known con game among crooked electricians is to scatter 220v or 480v table saws around town so a mark thinks "hey, free table saw" but later realizes they have to hire an electrician to install the outlet. so the mark get adds the outlet, plugs the saw in and finds out the saw is broken

a wall of fireworks with a motorcycle, kegerator, and unused gas grill is oscar-worthy set design. really paints a picture of someone with an impulse control problem.

it predates people taking pictures of their food, but not much. there's a gyoza episode on one of the NHK food shows that interviewed the guy. www.japantimes.co.jp/life/2024/04...
How ‘winged’ gyōza took flight from a Tokyo suburb
I mistakenly thought these crispy delights had been around for as long as “gyōza” themselves, but their creator is alive and cooking today.
