some very online people are really strange to talk to because they aren't actually talking to you. they're just repeating common talking points at you that argue against the common talking points that they inferred you must have meant

Nice argument you have there. However, I have already depicted you as the emacs user and me as the vim user

Stunning 2,000 year-old Roman mosaic cast glass bowl.

A wonderful example of the skill of ancient glassmakers!

#OCaml devs! Anyone know of any cool OCaml projects that people have been working on recently?

I am trying to do my due diligence as a chair for the OCaml workshop and proactively prompting people to submit proposals, so let me know if you've seen any cool things that you'd like to see there!

Filtra, the Rust hiring/recruiting company that makes awesome "State of the Rust job market" posts, is doing a survey about how to get hired for Rust jobs. Pls fill it out and help others get hired.

How To Get A Rust Job Survey
There are tons of Rustaceans out there who are stuck in the phase of using Rust for hobby pursuits or maybe even contributing to open source. But, how do you bridge the gap and get paid to write Rust?

Turning 30 is actually not bad because you actually spiritually turn 30 at age 27. By the time you hit 30, you've already been 30 for three years.

There is new kind of language I call "C/Rust" (like C/C++ but Rust instead of C++) where you fully give in to the unsafe, embrace global variables, and forget immutability even exists. Every function is unsafe, you do whatever you want. Borrow checker is still yapping tho.

As much as I love my US homies it's looking like it's time to start avoiding US products when possible. Going to purge US tech subscriptions and move my VPS to binarylane which is in Sydney.
